STUDENT EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
(SEC)
The C&IS Student Executive Council was founded in September of 1996 in an effort to provide more leadership opportunities for students in the College of Communication & Information Sciences. As such the SEC exists to coordinate students, faculty, and alumni of the College, and to serve as a place for students to voice their concerns about the College.
The SEC organizes and serves as host to several events throughout the year. These projects and events include the annual State of the College Address, Town Hall Meetings, a Film Series, fundraising programs, and many other service projects.
Membership in the organization is made up of the Presidents of all official student organizations in the College, C&IS SGA Senators, and at-large members elected by the student body. At-large applications are due each year in March and are available in the Tisch Student Services office.
