The College of Communication and Information Sciences is constantly growing, which means it is constantly changing. To keep up with the change in our college
the Alabama Student Society for Communication Arts (ASSCA) is undergoing many changes as well.
As the official ambassadors for the College of Communication, the ASSCA Ambassadors strive to assist the students and faculty of our college through a variety of functions each year. In the past, ASSCA has assisted in giving tours to prospective students, participating in Homecoming activities, giving back to the community through
a community service event each month, coordinating the Com 123 Speak Off each semester, and assisting in recruiting events for the college. This year, in addition to improving all of these events, ASSCA has developed a mentoring program to assist freshmen on classes to take, majors and minors to choose, and any other issues pertaining to college life.
I look forward to serving as ASSCA President during the 2007-2008 academic year. If you have any questions or comments or would like to receive more information about ASSCA, please contact me at megan.e.frazier@gmail.com.
Roll Tide!
