Megan E. Courington
President
Student Executive Council
2007-2008
The Student Executive Council for the College of Communication and Information Sciences exists to provide students a place to voice their concerns within the College. Comprised of selected at-large members from each of the following academic0 departments: Advertising, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, and Telecommunication and Film, the SEC serves as a liaison between students andfaculty/staff. Other members include the presidents of each of the College’s student organizations, as well as the College’s SGA Senators. Representatives from the SEC serve as a vital link between students and administration as they work together for continued improvement of our College.
A few of the events that the SEC is involved in each year include the State of the College Address, Town Hall meetings, a Christmas project, a Film series, the annual Silent Auction, and a variety of other fundraisers and service projects.
I am excited about the continued growth here at the University of Alabama, especially at the College of Communication and Information Sciences. I look forward to serving as SEC President for the 2007-2008 academic year. God Bless and Roll Tide!
