Directions to Reese Phifer Hall
The University welcomes all visitors to campus. Visitors with a driver's license may obtain a parking pass from Transportation Services, 103 Student Services Center, at the top of McCorvey Drive.
Visitor permits are $3 per day. Visitors may park on the top level of Ferguson Center parking deck and in the North ten Hoor parking deck (no permit required). Visitor parking permits are valid in all legal parking spaces unless otherwise restricted to a designated zone or area. Restrictions appear on the front of the permit.
If you are visiting the College of Communication and Information Sciences and get a parking violation ticket, bring it or mail it to the Journalism Office. Be sure to write on it your driver's license or social security number
ARRIVING FROM HWY 69, 43, 11 ... I.E., FINDING PHIFER FROM DOWNTOWN TUSCALOOSA
These highways merge downtown. At the traffic light just before you get on (or off) the Warrior River bridge, turn onto University Boulevard (a left turn if coming from the north, a right turn if coming from south) and follow University Boulevard until you see Phifer Hall on the right. Quad/President Mansion in next block. Park in either of these blocks.
ARRIVING FROM THE EAST ON INTERSTATE 20/59
Exit right on McFarland Boulevard (U.S. 82) toward Columbus, Miss. After about four miles, take University Boulevard , which exits right. You'll see DCH Medical Center on your left. Drive about 1.5 miles to Phifer Hall on the left in the block just past Quad/President's Mansion block. Park in either block.
Another way, if arriving from the East on Interstate 20/59, continue to 359, taking downtown exit and follow first directions.
ARRIVING FROM THE WEST ON INTERSTATE 20/59
Exit on 359 to downtown Tuscaloosa . It becomes Lurleen Wallace Blvd. Exit onto University Boulevard (right). Drive to Phifer Hall, on your right. Park in this block or in the Quad/President Mansion block, which is the next block.
ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTHEAST ON U.S. 82 (from Centreville)
Follow 82 until you reach University Boulevard . Exit right. You'll see DCH Medical Center on your left. On campus, you'll see Quad/President's Mansion block. Phifer is in next block, on your left. Park in either block.
ARRIVING FROM THE NORTHWEST ON U.S. 82 (from Columbus, MS)
Follow 82 until you reach University Boulevard . Exit right. You'll see DCH straight ahead. Turn right onto University Boulevard . Come to Phifer, on your left, in the block just past Quad/President's Mansion. Park in either block.
