The Communication History Forum of the College of Communication & Information Sciences seeks to promote interdisciplinary views and perspectives concerning the study and teaching of communication history. The Forum aims to cultivate the na­tional profile of our research programs in history and to increase awareness among students nationwide of the opportunities for studying communication history at the University of Alabama. Additionally the Forum seeks to promote the study of history in academe and in the professional communication fields, to create opportunities for collaboration with other departments and colleges at UA and elsewhere, and to cultivate research opportunities in the field.
