APR Computer Labs

Do you need a MacIntosh computer with InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator applications to complete a class project? The APR department provides three MacIntosh computer labs (rooms 332, 334, and 336 Reese Phifer Hall) for APR classroom instruction, but APR students may also use the labs to work on class projects when classes are not in session. Computer lab hours are posted outside the labs each semester.

Media Writing Lab

Are you having trouble writing that news release or radio ad script? Go to the Media Writing Center for help with writing assignments from any College of Communication and Information Sciences course.

English Writing Center

Do you need help with an English composition or literature survey writing assignment? Visit the English Writing Center for help with writing assignments in your English classes or any other area of study.

William E. Winter Reading Room

Are you looking for a copy of Communication Arts or for books about market research? For library resources specific to the advertising and public relations disciplines, as well as other College of Communication and Information Sciences disciplines, visit the William E. Winter Reading Room in 234 Reese Phifer Hall. The Reading Room also features a student computer lab with MacIntosh and Dell computers.

C&IS Career Services

Do you need help writing a cover letter or creating a portfolio showcasing your work? For career preparation and internship and job information specific to College of Communication and Information Sciences students, visit C&IS Career Services.

UA Career Center

Are you ready to start your job search but don’t know where to begin? The UA Career Center sponsors career fairs and supplies information about potential employers, as well as provides services in career planning, resume critiques, and practice interviews.

The R&D in Gorgas Library

Do you need to record a radio spot or produce a VNR? Go to The Research & Design Lab in Gorgas Library for access to the audio recording studio or to check out a video camera. MacIntosh computers are also available for student use.

Do you want to improve your study skills or to find a tutor in one of your Core classes? Visit the Center for Teaching and Learning.
