Susan Daria has over a decade of experience working with desktop layout programs such as Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress and Adobe Pagemaker. She is comfortable in cross-platform digital environments and is experienced with programs such as Adobe's Illustrator, Photoshop, and GoLive and Macromedia's Dreamweaver.

With a professional background in graphic design and corporate communication, Daria has worked with numerous clients such as Books-A-Million, Bancorp South and Regions Bank while designing for KSI, Inc. While at KSI, Daria produced promotional materials for the company and assisted in the redesign and management of organizational communication pieces.

She served the University of Alabama's Office of Marketing Communication (a division of University Relations) as designer. While there, she collaborated to redesign the University's faculty and staff newsletter, Dialog and jointly-won a 2001 Award of Excellence from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She was awarded three Tuscaloosa Ad Fed Citations of Excellence for her cover design of the 2001 Law School Catalog, and the designs of the University's Distressed Students Brochure and the K–12 Summer Programs Brochure.

Daria has provided marketing, advertising and public relations consultation for clients such as JVC, Ziegler, WYSF-94.5 Radio Station in Birmingham, The Real Estate Book of Tuscaloosa and the Alabama Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Daria won a Tuscaloosa Silver Addy for the cover design of Sex in Advertising, by Reichert and Lambiase and is a member of the 17th Order of the XXXI, women's honor society and the Tuscaloosa Advertising Federation.

Currently, Daria teaches junior- and senior-level courses in the University's Department of Advertising and Public Relations. She is co-director of advising for the APR department and serves as the faculty advisor to the Student Advertising Federation. She also advises the Student Ad Team, a group of the college's most promising talent, which competes each year in the National Student Advertising Competition.
