Yunjae Cheong is an assistant professor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations of the College of Communication and Information Sciences at The University of Alabama. She holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the Department of Advertising of The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. and an M.S. from the Department of Statistics of the College of Natural Sciences at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea.

While her research interests cover a broad range of topics in advertising, her main research interests focus on media planning with an emphasis on the Internet media exposure model, evaluating advertising media spending efficiency, advertising research methodology issues, like those related to meta analysis, and the assessment of advertising agencies from various perspectives.

Her teaching areas include advertising media planning and advertising campaigns. She is a member of the American Academy of Advertising, the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Association for Consumer Research, the International Communication Association and the American Marketing Association.
